Choose the gift type that's right for you!

There are many ways to give to South Dakota Mines that not only help create excellence at Mines, but also contribute to your own personal and financial goals. As you think about your commitment, we hope you will consider the giving options described here.

Cash ~  Stock  ~  Gifts-in-Kind  ~  Real Estate  ~  Wills and Bequests  ~  Charitable Trusts  ~  IRAs  ~  Life Insurance/Wealth Replacement  ~  Charitable Gift Annuities

A beneficiary designation is an easy way to give through your IRA, bank account or life insurance. In addition to the  "traditional" bequests of a will or trust, you can use other beneficiary designations to support South Dakota Mines. Just complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your account administrator. Benefits include:

  • the assets you give will not go through costly and time-consuming probate process
  • your estate will receive a charitable deduction, if you have a taxable estate, which saves on estate taxes
  • you can change or revoke beneficiary designations at any time

Many companies, from large to small, local to national, have matching gift programs. When you make a gift, please check with your personnel office to see if your company has a matching gifts program. Get the matching gift form and follow the directions for matching, doubling or even tripling your gift.
