Tim Ogdie was born in Sioux Falls SD, and is a Washington High School graduate. He graduated from South Dakota Mines with a BS in Chemical Engineering in May 1980. Tim obtained an MBA degree from St Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa in December 1987. 

Today, Tim serves as Treasurer of the CARA Board. He also has served as Treasurer of the Alumni BOD. He serves numerous CARA subcommittees (Investment, Compensation, Audit (Lead), and Task forces (CARA Fees Task Force, Risk Analysis). Tim also currently is President of the Delta Sig Alumni ACB (Alumni Control Board). 

Tim worked for Monsanto from June 1980 to April 2016. His work experience at Monsanto included: 
•    Project Engineer and Maintenance Engineer at Monsanto Facility in Muscatine Iowa 1980-1989
•    General Maintenance Supervisor of Resins, Saflex and Research facilities at the Indian Orchard site in Springfield Massachusetts from 1989-1995. 
•    Moved and worked out of World Headquarters in St. Louis MO 1995-2016. 
o    Served as Corporate World Class Maintenance Network Lead 1997-2005, responsible for coordinating worldwide maintenance practices and best practice sharing between sites.
o    Team lead on Corporate worldwide SAP ERP software implementation, responsible for developing design, implementing software, and post implementation support at world headquarters and over 30 worldwide sites in North & South America, Europe/Africa and Asia. 1995-2005. 
o    Major Project Manager for Capital Construction projects of Research, Seed Manufacturing, and Automated Green House facilities in Iowa, Hawaii, and Arizona. 2006-2008. 
o    Group Lead for Corporate Global Engineering Project Controls group, responsible for Estimating, Cost Forecasting, Cost Control/Management/Reporting, Scheduling, Construction management support, and Financial support of all global engineering supported capital/expense projects. 2009-2016. 

Tim retired from Monsanto on April 1, 2016 and currently lives in Rapid City SD.
