Robert Morcom, PE served 29 of his 42-year Professional Engineering career with South Dakota based TSP, Inc. an Architectural/Engineering/Planning Group. He served various positions including TSP Board of Directors and Vice President; Western Region Principal and Managing Principal of the Rapid City, SD office; and Senior Civil Engineer/Civil Department Head retiring in 2018.  

Following his retirement from TSP, he joined Ainsworth Benning Construction/A Journey Group Company in Spearfish, SD where he served as Business Development Manager and for a period as interim Division Leader of Ainsworth Benning Construction until retirement in December 2021.

Today, Mr. Morcom serves on the Board of Directors of the South Dakota School of Mines CARA and properties committee. He also serves as Board Treasurer for the Northern Rockies Volunteers of America, Vice Chairman of the Board for the Professional Ski Instructors of America- Northern Rocky Mountain Division, Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America Black Hills Area Council, Whitewood Fire Department Board, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Governance, and other various organizations. 

Mr. Morcom received a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1974 and holds a BS Degree in Industrial Management from the University of Wyoming in 1976.
