Julie Carver is the Founding Principal of Congruent Environmental Strategies, a woman owned small business providing strategic environmental consulting and management services. She offers a broad range of experience managing multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams whose purpose is to solve logistically complex, diverse environmental management issues for both public and private sector clients. Ms. Carver provides expertise in the redevelopment of economically and environmentally impaired property, sustainable materials/zero waste management, integrated solid waste management and the remediation of solid, special, and hazardous wastes in soil, groundwater, and sediment.

Ms. Carver holds a B.S. in Geological Engineering from the SD School of Mines, a M.S. is Environmental Science & Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and is a registered professional engineer.  Julie is currently serving as the Chair of the SD Mines Center for Alumni Relations & Advancement, and previously served  as the Governance Committee Chair.  She has also served as a Board Member in other nonprofit organizations involved in international microfinance and education for women living in poverty and is an active patron of several nonprofit organizations dedicated to enhancing worldwide environmental sustainability.  An avid world traveler, hiker and cook, Julie lives in Morrison, Colorado with her husband Bastiaan Cornelissen, who is also a SDSM&T graduate.
