Crowdfunding at South Dakota Mines

The Center for Alumni Relations & Advancement assists students, faculty, and staff who are interested in raising money for student organizations, athletics, academic projects, and more. Campus giving initiatives support programs and student groups across South Dakota Mines—from Counseling and WiSE to CAMP teams, KTEQ, and engineering societies—fueling a vibrant campus experience.

From scholarships and competition travel to student organization funding and community service projects, these campaigns empower Mines students and athletes to raise funds that enhance their academic journey, campus experience, and impact beyond the classroom.

How to Get Started
*Please develop a fundraising plan prior to submiting a request.

•  Those planning to run a crowdfunding campaign will first need to register, or apply, for the campaign through our crowdfunding website.
• Please note that you’ll need an image to associate with your project, a thorough description, a fundraising plan, and a fund with CARA to house your donation money.
• Once you submit your page, CARA will need to approve it. Once approved, you’ll have a link so you can promote your campaign on social media, etc.
