Share Your Industry Knowledge

CAMP is seeking subject matter experts to advise teams during their design reviews. Teams present three one-hour design reviews: Functional, Preliminary, and Critical during the fall semester. Alumni can attend the reviews in person or remotely on Zoom to learn about the teams’ plans, lend their expertise, and provide feedback. Please indicate your technical background and expertise or what teams you are interested in advising.

Welcome Freshman

In 2020, alumni volunteers began a program to write notes to newly accepted students, letting them know why Mines should be their number one choice to further their education. Our alumni volunteers stepped up to answer the call and wrote over 500 postcards!

We encourage alumni to share a memory or write a note about how South Dakota Mines helped launch their careers. This is a great way to make a difference in a student’s life as they choose a college.

Fill out the form below to get started with the postcard campaign. Each volunteer filled out an average of 20 postcards last year. After you fill out the form, we will mail you postcards and a pre-paid stamped envelope to mail them back to us.

Thank you for sharing your memories with the future generation of Hardrockers!

Career Guidance Events

Speak at one of our Campus to Career Events. This event series connects current students with a diverse range of alumni and guests from various industries and career paths. It’s a platform for students to gain valuable insights, explore career options, and build their professional network. Each session features a panel discussion followed by Q&A and casual networking.
